Eton Psychiatrists specialises in comprehensive ADHD assessment and treatment services for adults. We address a critical gap in mental health care: many individuals experience lengthy NHS wait times (up to 10 years in some areas) for ADHD evaluation, despite effective treatments existing with approximately 70% response rates.

Why ADHD Assessment Matters

ADHD affects more than 4% of the UK population, yet over 80% of people with ADHD remain undiagnosed: approximately 2 million individuals. Untreated ADHD correlates with:

  • Higher obesity rates- Poor academic performance
  • Reduced self-esteem
  • Difficulties in relationships and employment
  • Difficulties in relationships and employment

Our expert consultant psychiatrists provide thorough assessments that meet or exceed NICE guidelines, helping you understand your symptoms and access effective treatment.

1. Introduction & Hero Section

ADHD Assessment, Treatment & Support from Eton Psychiatrists We offer something different: prompt, expert ADHD assessments that go beyond clinical checklists to focus on your lived experience. This is your turning point. It's the moment you gain the clarity to align success with well-being and finally thrive, not just cope.

Does This Resonate With Your Experience?

  • Does praise bounce off you, while even mild criticism feels crushing?
  • Find it impossible to truly relax, with a brain that’s always running?
  • Is your success fuelled by a draining cycle of procrastination and burnout?
  • Are you intellectually sharp, but have been labelled 'lazy' for struggling with organisation?
  • A visionary entrepreneur, yet derailed by routine paperwork?

If this sounds familiar, please know you are not alone. And you're in the right place. An assessment is the first step towards understanding why things feel this way, and moving forward with clarity.

2. Statistics & The Challenge

  • 4% Affected in the UK
  • 80%+ Undiagnosed (2 million people)
  • 70% Treatment Response Rate

The Challenge of Long Waiting Times Waiting for clarity is hard enough. But with NHS waiting lists for an ADHD assessment stretching up to ten years in some areas, that wait can feel impossible. This isn't just an inconvenience. These delays have real consequences, ratcheting up stress and taking a toll on work, relationships, and your well-being. Early and effective intervention is crucial. Our commitment to minimal waiting times is a core part of our compassionate and respectful approach to your care.

Eton "Complete Care" Neurodevelopmental Pathway ADHD Assessment, Autism Assessment (if needed), Functional Mapping, Treatment & Medication 3995

One Fixed Price. Price: £3995 Clinical Lead: Consultant Psychiatrist (Medical Doctor) & Multi-Disciplinary Team Why we created the "Complete Care" Package Navigating a private diagnosis often feels like a maze of hidden fees. Patients pay for an ADHD assessment, only to discover they also need an Autism assessment. Then comes "pharmacy shock": paying hundreds of pounds out-of-pocket for monthly medication and postage. Finally, they are left without a roadmap for their actual daily struggles. We believe your focus should be on understanding your mind and thriving, not worrying about the next invoice. The Eton "Complete Care" Package is the most comprehensive diagnostic pathway in the UK. It combines Consultant-led dual diagnosis (ADHD & Autism), Functional Mapping, Medication costs, Coaching, and Cardiology into one transparent, fixed price.

Why This Package is Safer, Better, & Truly Economical

1. Dual-Diagnosis Capability (ADHD & Autism)

ADHD and Autism frequently co-occur (AuDHD). In most clinics, if your clinician suspects Autism during an ADHD assessment, they will halt the process and charge you for a completely separate Autism assessment.

With Eton: If clinically indicated, your Autism assessment is fully included. We assess your whole neurotype, not just a fraction of it, saving you thousands of pounds in separate diagnostic fees.

2. Functional Assessment & Personalised Plan

A diagnosis is just a label; you need a roadmap. We include a comprehensive Functional Assessment to identify your specific cognitive strengths, sensory needs, and the real-world impact of your neurodivergence.

The Outcome: We use this to devise a highly personalised, actionable plan that goes far beyond just "take these pills," helping you adapt your work, study, and home environment to suit your brain.

3. No "Pharmacy Shock" (Save ~£500)

Private ADHD medication is expensive. Most clinics require you to pay the pharmacy directly, which can cost you £80–£150 per month plus tracked postage fees.

With Eton: We cover the cost of all UK-approved ADHD medication and direct-to-door concierge delivery during your titration reviews.

4. Consultant-Led Safety & Cardiology

You are treated by a Medical Doctor (Consultant Psychiatrist) throughout your journey. Furthermore, stimulant medication requires a healthy heart.

With Eton: If you need a heart check, we include an ECG and Consultant Cardiologist interpretation. We check your heart instantly so your treatment doesn't stop. No GP referrals, no months of waiting on the NHS.

5. Neuroaffirmative Coaching

To bring your Personalised Plan to life, we include 2 sessions of 1-to-1 Coaching. You will work with a specialist to build executive function strategies that complement your diagnosis.

What is Included in the £4,500 Fixed Fee?

Diagnostic Assessments: Comprehensive ADHD Assessment plus an Autism Assessment (if clinically indicated).

Functional Mapping: Detailed assessment of your strengths and needs to build a Personalised Care Plan.

3x Follow-Up Reviews: Consultant-led monitoring to adjust medication and track your progress.

Medication Costs: We pay for the medication and tracked postage during the 3-month titration period.

Heart Health: ECG and Consultant Cardiologist report (if required/Age 50+).

Coaching: 2x One-to-one coaching sessions.

All Admin: Shared Care Agreement (SCA) sent to your GP, travel letters, and reasonable adjustment letters for your employer or university.

Simple Payment Options

We want to make this premium level of care accessible.

Deposit: £700 to secure your comprehensive assessment.

Spread the Cost: Pay the remaining balance in scheduled monthly instalments, or use Klarna for flexible payment plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this package economical if I only suspect I have ADHD?

If you are absolutely certain you only require an ADHD assessment, our standard Pay-As-You-Go pathways may suit you. However, for patients who want total financial certainty, a deep dive into their functional strengths, and the peace of mind that Autism will be investigated if traits are spotted (without being hit by a £1,500 surprise bill), this package offers unparalleled value and safety.

What happens if my GP refuses Shared Care?

We have successfully transferred the care of hundreds of patients. However, if your GP refuses due to strict local ICB policies, we won't abandon you. You can continue care with us, and we offer a 10% discount on medication for our long-term patients.

6. The Process: Shared Care Agreement (SCA)

Once your medication is optimised, your psychiatrist will seek an SCA with your GP. The key benefit is that your prescription will be provided by the NHS, saving you private costs. If a GP refuses, we continue providing your prescription privately with 6-monthly vital sign reviews (free) and a yearly review appointment.

7. Frequently Asked Questions (Highlights)

  • Is the test a definitive diagnosis? It is a vital part, combined with clinical evaluations and medical history.
  • How long for results? Typically within a few days to a week.
  • Will treatment change my personality? No. It aims to manage symptoms and improve focus, not change your core self.
  • Can I have ADHD if I am successful? Yes. Many high-achieving individuals manage ADHD symptoms but feel depleted by the effort.

8. Lifestyle Advice

  • Work with your ADHD, not against it (request reasonable adjustments).
  • Regular exercise helps energy and focus.
  • Use simple organisational techniques (diaries, reminders).
  • Seek help from employers, family, or self-help groups.

Important Information Regarding Medication & Follow-up Appointments While our goal is to streamline your care, please be aware that a diagnosis does not automatically result in an immediate prescription. To ensure your safety and clinical appropriateness, the following conditions apply: Initial Requirements: Clinicians may consider initiating treatment if you provide a formal GP referral, your most recent Summary Care Record (SCR), and any relevant prior investigations. Safety & Investigations: If clinically indicated, we may require further investigations (such as blood pressure, heart rate monitoring, or blood tests) before starting medication. We will liaise with your GP to arrange these to ensure treatment safety. Additional Appointments: If your medical history is complex or if required health data is missing, a follow-up appointment may be necessary to discuss medication options in detail once all safety checks are complete. Note: Our priority is to ensure that any pharmacological intervention is both effective and safe for your specific physical profile.

The Eton Approach

At Eton Psychiatrists, we combine clinical excellence with personalised care. Our approach is built on several key principles:

Evidence-Based Practice: Every assessment meets or exceeds NICE guidelines for ADHD diagnosis. We use validated questionnaires and comprehensive clinical interviews to ensure accurate diagnosis.

Collaborative Care: We work closely with your GP to establish shared care agreements, making treatment sustainable and affordable through NHS prescriptions once medication is optimised.

Holistic Support: Beyond medication, we provide personalised information packs, lifestyle guidance, and curated resources tailored to your individual needs. We recognise that effective ADHD management involves multiple strategies.

Timely Response: We aim to respond to all inquiries within 72 hours and provide urgent proof-of-diagnosis letters within 48 hours when needed.

Long-term Partnership: Our care doesn't end with diagnosis. We provide ongoing medication reviews, annual check-ins, and continuous support as your needs evolve.

Your Journey

1

Initial Contact

Contact us via email or phone to discuss your needs. We'll respond within 72 hours and provide background information forms to help your psychiatrist prepare.

2

Pre-Assessment Questionnaires

Complete brief questionnaires about ADHD symptoms, anxiety, and depression. Provide information from someone who knows you well and ideally from childhood. Takes about 1 hour total.

3

Diagnostic Assessment

Your psychiatrist reviews materials and conducts a 60-120 minute assessment covering current symptoms, childhood history, and life impact. Choose standard assessment or combined with treatment discussion.

4

Treatment & Medication (if applicable)

If medication is recommended, your psychiatrist prescribes through partner pharmacy. Regular 4-weekly reviews help find optimal dosing, typically requiring 3-4 appointments.

5

Ongoing Support & Shared Care

Once stable, we establish shared care with your GP for NHS prescriptions. Your psychiatrist provides annual reviews while your GP handles 6-monthly vital sign checks.

6

Long Term Medical Follow up

Once you are stable and under Shared Care, Eton provides structured 6-monthly follow-up to keep your treatment safe, effective and sustainable over years. Each review covers physical safety checks, medication optimisation, life changes (hormonal, occupational, relational), relapse prevention and forward planning — so your care evolves as your life does.

What to Expect

During Your Assessment

Your psychiatrist will ask detailed questions about your current ADHD symptoms and how they impact your daily life: work, study, relationships, and home activities. The assessment covers:

  • Current Symptoms: Inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, and their effects on daily functioning
  • Childhood History: ADHD symptoms present before age 12, school performance, and behaviour patterns
  • Life Impact: Educational achievements, employment history, relationship patterns, and overall wellbeing
  • Comprehensive Evaluation: Anxiety, depression, and other factors that may interact with ADHD

The assessment is conducted in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Our psychiatrists are experienced NHS consultants who understand the complexities of ADHD diagnosis in adults.

Assessment Options

Standard Diagnostic Assessment (60-90 minutes): Comprehensive diagnosis with separate treatment consultation if medication is discussed.

Assessment with Treatment Discussion (90-120 minutes): Combined appointment covering diagnosis and detailed exploration of treatment options including lifestyle modifications, psychological therapy, and medication.

After Your Assessment

Within 2 weeks, you'll receive a detailed written report explaining the findings and recommendations. This report can be shared with your GP, employer, or educational institution as needed.

If additional information is occasionally required to complete the assessment, a free feedback appointment will be scheduled.

If You're Diagnosed with ADHD

You'll receive:

  • A personalised information pack (electronic and physical format)
  • Curated resources specific to your needs and circumstances
  • Clear treatment guidance and next steps
  • Support in establishing shared care with your GP
  • Access to ongoing medication reviews and annual check-ups

Lifestyle Management

We'll discuss practical strategies for managing ADHD, including:

  • Workplace and educational adjustments
  • Nutrition and exercise for improved focus
  • Organisational tools and techniques
  • Relaxation and mindfulness practices
  • Building support networks
  • Identifying and managing personal ADHD triggers

Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge, tools, and medical support needed to thrive with ADHD.

ADHD and Autism Combined Assessment

In-Person:
£1995

£1995

ADHD and Autism overlap in more than 30% of adults, and they often explain each other — what looks like ADHD inattention can be autistic sensory overload; what looks like autistic social difficulty can be ADHD impulsivity. Assessing both together gives you one coherent picture of how your brain actually works, rather than two partial reports. It also makes masking much harder to miss. Many adults — especially women and high‑achieving professionals — use one set of traits to hide the other. A single‑track assessment tends to accept the mask at face value; a combined assessment is built to see through it.

Balance: The remaining balance must be paid via: Scheduled monthly instalments (to be completed during the diagnostic phase). Klarna instalment plan. Diagnostic Phase: Comprehensive ADHD Assessment (In-person in London or Virtual) with a Consultant Psychiatrist. Autism Assessment: If your Consultant identifies clinical traits of Autism during your ADHD assessment, a full Autism Assessment is seamlessly included at no additional cost. (Note: This is conducted only if clinically indicated by the medical team). Functional Assessment: A comprehensive mapping of your cognitive strengths, sensory profile, and the real-world impact of your neurodivergence, used to devise a Personalised Care Plan. Treatment Phase: 3 x Follow-up Titration Reviews with the Consultant to safely establish your medication dosage. Support Services: 2 x One-to-one Coaching Sessions to build neuroaffirmative executive function strategies. ECG and Cardiologist Interpretation (if clinically required or for patients aged 50+). Administrative Support (Zero Extra Fees): Shared Care Agreement (SCA) drafting and GP handover. Reasonable Adjustment letters for employers or universities. Travel certificates for carrying medication abroad. Medication Terms & Concierge Pharmacy To ensure safety and financial transparency, medication costs are included under strict conditions: Approved Medication Only: The package covers UK-approved/licensed ADHD medication only (Stimulants and Non-stimulants, e.g., Lisdexamfetamine, Methylphenidate, Atomoxetine). Excludes adjunctive medications (e.g., antidepressants, sleeping aids), which are billed separately. Concierge Pharmacy Requirement: To access the free medication benefit, prescriptions must be dispensed by Eton Psychiatrists' designated partner pharmacies. If you opt to use an external pharmacy, you are liable for the full medication cost and dispensing fees; Eton will not reimburse these. Supply Schedule: Medication is covered only when prescribed during the scheduled review appointments. No "repeat prescriptions" are issued between reviews. Shortage Protocol: If your specific medication is affected by national shortages, our Consultants may temporarily prescribe a safe alternative. If a shortage prevents any medication supply, your 3-month treatment window will be extended accordingly. Shared Care & Long-Term Support GP Transfer: We act in full compliance with GP requests and have successfully established Shared Care Agreements (SCA) for hundreds of patients. We will robustly advocate for your care transfer. ICB Disclaimer: Some NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) have policies refusing all private Shared Care. Eton Psychiatrists cannot legally force a GP to accept an SCA. Refusal Contingency: If your GP/ICB refuses Shared Care, we will not abandon you. We will continue to monitor your health privately, and you will receive a 10% Loyalty Discount on medication costs for as long as you remain an active patient using our partner pharmacy. Scheduling, Expirations & Attendance The Titration Window: The treatment phase (the 3 follow-up appointments) must be completed within 3 months of your final diagnosis date. Compact, continuous care leads to better, safer outcomes. Exceptions: Delays caused by Eton Psychiatrists, national medication shortages, or genuine medical emergencies (e.g., pregnancy, severe illness) will extend this window. Expiration: If appointments are not utilised within the 3-month window due to patient disengagement, the package benefits expire. Subsequent reviews will be charged at £225, and medication costs will revert to the patient. Rescheduling: Dates and times can be changed up to 72 hours in advance free of charge. Changes made within 72 hours may result in the loss of that session credit. Early Withdrawal & Refund Policy Because this package involves intensive, high-value clinical work upfront, refunds are structured based on services rendered: Pre-Assessment: Cancellations made with more than 72 hours' notice before the first assessment will receive a full refund of the deposit, minus a £50 admin fee. Post-Diagnosis Withdrawal: If you choose to withdraw from the package after the diagnostic phase (ADHD Assessment, Autism Assessment, Functional Assessment) but before medication titration begins, you will be refunded the total package fee minus the standard standalone fees for the diagnostic assessments completed. Medical Discharge: If treatment ceases during titration due to medical contraindications (e.g., severe cardiac risks), the pathway will be adjusted to focus on coaching and non-medical support. Refunds for the "medication portion" are not provided once titration has commenced.
