About Me

I review patients aged 18 and over before and during ADHD treatment to assess whether stimulant or non-stimulant medication is appropriate from a cardiovascular perspective. This includes evaluating heart rate, blood pressure, ECG findings, family history and any pre-existing heart conditions that could affect treatment decisions.

ADHD medications can have effects on the cardiovascular system, so my involvement gives both our clinicians and our patients confidence that treatment is being managed with their heart health in mind. I provide expert advice to our ADHD specialists so that they can prescribe safely and monitor appropriately. Where a patient has a more complex cardiac history, I can carry out a focused assessment and recommend whether treatment can proceed, be adjusted, or requires further investigation.
