About Me
I am Dr. Letizia De Mori — a psychologist, neuropsychologist and researcher working across the UK and Italy. At Eton Psychiatrists I lead the neuropsychological assessment strand of our practice, working alongside our consultant psychiatrists and our wider MDT for children, adolescents and adults.
My work spans three connected worlds: clinical neuropsychology, academic research and medico-legal expert reporting. The threads tying them together are precision, scientific rigour and a commitment to seeing the whole person — not just a score on a test.
My clinical and research interests include cognitive rehabilitation (brain injury, ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, personality disorders and dementia), rare genetic and endocrine syndromes (Williams Syndrome, Silver-Russell Syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism, with fMRI correlations), and medico-legal / expert-witness work. I have practised privately since 2014, led complex MDT neuropsychological assessments in the UK since 2023, and acted as a court-recognised expert witness since 2018.

What I specialise in
- Neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan — children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
- Cognitive rehabilitation for brain injury, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, personality disorders and dementia.
- Rare genetic and endocrine syndromes and complex neurological conditions — Williams Syndrome, Silver-Russell Syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism — with fMRI correlations.
- Mental capacity assessment, medico-legal reports and expert-witness work for court and tribunal proceedings (since 2018).
- Educational planning and assessment-led recommendations.
How I work
I take a research-informed, individualised approach. Standardised tests are essential — but they are a starting point, not the end point. Around the test data I build a functional profile that explains why the scores look the way they do: developmental history, sensory and emotional landscape, family and educational context, and (where relevant) the genetic, endocrine or neurological condition shaping the picture.
For my medico-legal work, that translates into clear, defensible reports that hold up under scrutiny in court. For my clinical work, it translates into practical rehabilitation plans that families, schools and treating teams can actually use.
Research & academic contributions
Active research programme since 2017 on neuropsychological and functional profiles in rare genetic and endocrine conditions, including fMRI correlations.
